Antique Sterling Silver Chatelain Mesh Purse

Monogrammed antique sterling silver mesh chatelaine purse, Victorian era.  Women carried their purses on a chatelaine, a hook with chains on which accessories could be hung, such as keys, a knife sheath and sewing kit. This purse belonged to Mabelle A Kimbark, and was part of a set with the sovereign case (also available). In very nice antique condition, some oxidation to the silver, but no breaks to the mesh.  It looks as thought the clasp ball may have been resoldered at some point.  3.25 troy ounces, marked sterling.
